Each year our library (the best library ever ~ I'm not biased or anything) has Mrs. Claus come for a visit. The kids get to write their list for Santa and give it to Mrs. Claus. She makes sure and gives it to Santa and a few days later, they receive a reply in the mail from Santa himself. My kids don't believe in Santa, but it is still fun to pretend. They also get to do Christmas crafts and have a Christmas snack. Mrs. Claus reads a few Christmas stories and reminds the children of why we celebrate Christmas ~ Jesus Birthday. They love going, and I love to take them. This year was Colby's last year to go. He will be too old next year, maybe they can put him to work helping out:)

Colby with Mrs. Claus for the last time (is he really that big already?)

and everyone's favorite part ~ decorating cookies (the part where the mother's cringe as they watch their child pile on icing-candy-sprinkles and then promise their child will not be eating sweets for the rest of the season). I seriously doubt most of those kids could get anything else on their cookies. Every inch is covered, and they love every minute!
