The first week of December we had a pretty big snow. The weatherman had predicted 1-3 inches, but when all was said and done we got about 6in. Very exciting for 3 little children in our house. We went to see Mrs. Claus Saturday morning (more about that in another post) and then we were home to play in the snow. The snow was perfect for building snowmen. I started a ball and let Noelle roll it around our yard. Colby started his own ball and rolled it until it was pretty big, so big in fact I had to break some of it off to lift it into the middle of the snowman. I rolled the bottom. Our front yard is not flat, so it made the rolling a big more exhausting. They did a great job, and after some heavy lifting we had our snowman.

After the snow the temperatures dropped into the single digits, so we didn't have to worry about the snowman melting. I guess I must not have gotten a good base, because by day 3 this is how our snowman looked. He didn't break apart, just started leaning forward. Every day as we drove home we tried to guess whether he had fallen or not.
By day 5, our snowman was almost to the ground, but still in one piece. We went away for the weekend, and when we came back he was on the ground. Still in 1 piece, and he is there now. Still not melted away, but under the fresh snow we got this past week.
