At the nursing home, ready to go in.
It was snowing out, and the kids were excited to see "GG". At the nursing home, they sang Christmas songs and recited some of the poems they did for the school Christmas program. While they were singing, we could see shadows shuffling around outside the closed door. When we finally opened it, we found people who had heard the kids singing and wanted to listen some more. It was a special way to spend Christmas Eve, especially since it now looks like that was the last one he will have on this earth. Next year he will probably be in heaven. The doctors have told him going to the hospital will not improve him anymore. Now we just have to wait. I am praying he will not have to suffer much longer.
Christmas Eve 2010
After we left, we hurried (well not really hurried, because the roads were pretty bad) off to church. We got to the church only to read on the sign that their service started at 6pm (it was a few minutes after 7). Oops!!! We were disappointed, but we headed home on a worse road yet to open our Christmas Eve present, eat some popcorn, and watch a Christmas movie.
I am so thankful we had that special time with GG! Please pray for him and our family in the next few weeks.

Sharon, I'm sorry about your GG. It is so hard to see our Grands age. I will be praying for you all!
