Kindergarten Circus

Quick dinner from the concession stand before getting dressed for the circus

Every year our school puts on a Kindergarten Circus. The children prepare for months for the circus. Some of them are already planning what they want to be as they come into Kindergarten in the fall, but they don't get to sign-up until after Christmas. It is a HUGE deal, and they do so well!

The beautiful ballerinas

Last year all the girls wanted to be ballerinas. I figured with 10 girls this year, they would probably run into the same problem. I tried to persuade Noelle to sign-up for an animal, but she really wanted to be a ballerina. Amazingly, she was the only girl to request it. Most of the other girls wanted to be animals.

Now we had to come up with a costume...... My sister was a ballerina 22 years ago, and my mom still had her costume. Unfortunately, the bodysuit was much too big. We tried some other things, and nothing seemed to be working. I remembered the ballerina from Colby's circus had worn a beautiful outfit from a dance recital, so I asked her mother if we could borrow it. She let us look at 2 and pick the one we liked the best! They even had the ballet slippers. What a blessing!!!!!! I must say (I'm not biased or anything), Noelle looked BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Each performer had his own part, but there were some parts everyone got to participate.

Mommy was the piano player. Here we are together after a job WELL DONE!!!!

We were so thankful Nate's parents were able to come for the circus. They have so many responsiblities where they are, and it is hard for them to get away. They were able to come for my Grandpa Crist's funeral Monday and then stay for the circus on Tuesday night. We loved having them here!!!!!!!

What a fun school event! It looks like you guys all enjoyed it. And it's great that your famiy - everybody, near & far - got to be there. Don't really know why that is such a big deal, but it is. Noelle is a very beautiful ballerina :-)
